Recently, I finally finished printing and collating the pages of this rock collection project! Now, I just need to make the covers and bind them. I started working on this about a year ago, I think. It took a while to print it all, because during that year we had to move studios because they’re knocking the old one down, and of course the offset kept breaking in new ways — but Maya and I managed to fix it every time!
(apologies to everyone who has had to listen to me complain about the finicky press over & over again)

So, this is going to be a set of five flip books with images of five rocks spinning around. Each of them is printed in two colors. I had fun trying out different color combinations. I also wrote a short piece about each rock, describing it and talking about the memory associated with finding it… I’m still figuring out how I’m going to work the text in. My current thought is that I’ll put this on the cover of each flip book, and print it with the letterpress. Honestly, I need a little break from the offset after all its drama.
